The Annunciation of Marie

In the Middle Ages, Violaine, who is engaged to Jacques Hury, comes across the architect Pierre de Craon, who used to be in love with her and who is now suffering from leprosy. Violaine agrees to give him a farewell kiss. Her sister, Mara, is a witness to the scene. In love with Hury, Mara does everything she can to harm Violaine, who becomes a leper too, after having kissed de Craon.
